The opening event was attended by approx. 1,100 guests, consisting of shareholders from BHAP/BAIC, local and national government, the Embassy of China, customers, suppliers and employees working at Inalfa in Venray.
The event started with an amazing video ballet showing the Inalfa story. COO of Inalfa, Jan Tulkens, shared the highlights of the building and emphasized the importance of the relationship with the local and provincial government in setting up this building in Venray. Mr. Li Fei represented the Chinese Ambassador in the Netherlands in the opening speech and this impressive queue was closed by a speech of Chairman Xu Heyi from BAIC who reflected his pride to Inalfa.
After the official speeches the opening ceremony closed with a spectacular Chinese Lion Dance, which is usually performed during the Chinese New Year and other Chinese traditional, cultural and religious festivals. On this day it was also performed as an honor to the special guests from China. The lion dance is believed to bring good luck and fortune to the business.
The guests joined several guided tours through the building and eventually enjoyed an informal get-together with live music, nice appetizers and a drink with colleagues and business acquaintances.
It was a very successful event!"
