Magician Louis Yan

Louis Yan is an internationally recognized champion magician from Hong Kong, known as the David Copperfield of Hong Kong.

In 2010, he became the first ever Hong Kong magician to win first place in both the US Abbott Magic Competition (the magic capital of the world) and Hungary’s 6th Joker Magic International Stage Magic Competition. Louis is also one of the few selected magicians in the world to be honored with a “Best Stage Performer” Merlin Award in the same year. As well, Louis is also the first Hong Kong magician to successfully predict Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Closing Index.

In 2011, Louis was invited to perform at US Hollywood “Magic Castle” and also be the 1st HK magician to perform at the Taiwan TMA Magic Convention. Louis was also the judge and the performance guest of the magic program produced by TVB – “Magic Battle”. Same year, Louis also broke the Guinness World Record named as “The Largest Magic Lesson” in the world which broke the record David Copperfield kept.

In 2012, Louis was invited by the Hong Kong Government and represented Hong Kong to perform at 4 cities in Europe, including Paris, Brussels, Hamburg and The Hague, by using his spectacular talent to promote Hong Kong. Same year in June, Louis successfully predicted the Mark Six (Lottery) result by an originate creation and amazed the magic industry and the masses.

In 2013, Louis made a big challenge to himself and was successfully broke the World first Guinness World Record for “The Fastest Time of Escape with Straitjacket and Chains Underwater”, with only 25.75 seconds.

Louis has frequently appeared on television, starring as judge and performing guest on the TVB program “Magic Battle” and feature magician in the program “King of Street Magic”. Louis Yan is also the 1st and only HK Magician who held a ticket-selling Magic Show at KITEC StarHall.

Louis has won international recognition, as well as many global magic awards over the past few years.

Louis graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University and the University of Wollongong, Australia. He is the honorary president of the Baptist University Magic Association. Louis is currently a Magic Artist who actively participates in both ideas development and performance.

Louis believes that magic can bring happiness and surprises to everyone. He wants to bring magic to the different corners of the world and wants everyone to believe in the miracle of magic.


Over the past few year, Louis Yan has won international recognition as well as numerous global awards.
